Best Wishes Ruaridih

Today is the end of the line for one of our Young Volunteers Ruaridih Little. Ruaridih finished his time at Broxburn Academy today. A great young ambassador with a very bright future, a big bubbly character, a leader, an ambassador for the school and BUSC . Ruaridih has volunteered over 500 hours service to BUSC and Broxburn Academy a fantastic achievement. Ruaridih has led many camps at BUSC over the past five years and is seen as a role model by many young kids.

Everyone at BUSC wishes you a very bright future and we know you will put your heart and soul into everything you do. Good luck Ruaridih.

Pool Cues Wanted

The club have recently been fortunate enough to be donated a pool table from a local member for our young people to use when they are in the club along with the current table tennis setup that we already have.  We do not yet however have any Pool Cues so are therefore asking for your help.  If you have any old pool cues that are not getting used please feel free to hand them in to the office and this will allow our young people access to another opportunity free of charge.  Your help as always is greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Just another reason why the young people of Broxburn choose BUSC.

Autism Funding - We Won

We are delighted to announce that the joint project between ourselves Broxburn United Sports Club and Team United WON the bidding for funding to run a brand new Autism specific programme here in Broxburn, West Lothian. Of the 792 votes cast. 519 were for BUSC leaving us top of table in the process.  Massive thanks to West Lothian Council for allowing us the opportunity to take part in the process.

Again a massive thank you to all our members who have supported us in the initial phase of this project.  We are now looking to finalise the delivery model and advertise the programme over the coming weeks so please keep your eyes peeled and share to anyone who you may think would benefit or who would be interested in the potential new project.

Finally if you know of any people/organisations who would be interested in coming on board to support this project please point them in our direction.  We have big plans for the project and the impact we would like to make so any additional funding will help us to deliver to even more young people with Autism.

Finally if you have any questions please contact Aidan on a.forbes@busc.org.uk

BUSC's Booking System - Temporarily Out of Order

As you may or may not be aware the booking system within the club is still down (rest assured that no information has been lost at this stage as we are fully backed up).  As we do not have designated in-house support staff for this we are working with a couple of local IT experts to help us resolve this but this is taking longer than we had hoped.

We will now follow the process of contacting teams individually to assess what bookings are running over the next two weeks (so that we have all information) and can compile a full picture incase the system takes longer to fix than anticipated.

We appreciate your support and patience with this matter and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Jackson Longridge Visits 2005s

A huge thanks to Livingston FC defender Jackson Longridge who visited tonight's 2005s session.  The visit came on the back of Broxburn 05s player Stuart Gebbie sponsoring Jackson for the current season and Stuart inviting him to attend his teams training through this link.

Thanks to Jackson for coming down and sharing his experiences with some of our young players and we wish him well for the future.
